Common Questions About The Border Wars Tournament

Where did this tournament come from?

The Border Wars tournament came out of the Center Grove Bantam Pro Bowl Tournament.  Center Grove held the Pro Bowl Tournament from 2000 - 2005.  In 2006 the tournament format and name were changed.  Central Indiana Border Wars Tournament came into being.  The tournament expanded from just using the Center Grove facility to now using Carmel and Fishers-HSE facilities for the northern teams.

Each year the tournament has seen huge growth.  Border Wars has become the premier tournament for youth football in Indiana.

Who is hosting this tournament?

The tournament directors have broken the city down into two divisions.  (North & South)  Center Grove will continue to host the tournament in the south.  Carmel will host the 5th &6th grade part of the Northern tournament and HSE will host the 3rd & 4th grade part of the tournament.

The winners of each grade will face off against their counterparts from the other division.

Examples:

The winner of the Center Grove 3rd grade division will play the winner of the HSE 3rd grade division for the tournament championship.

The winner of the Center Grove 6th grade division will play the winner of the Carmel 6th  grade division for the tournament championship.

The Championship games will be played at a High School field, yet to be determined.  (Depends on what High Schools are still in the state tournament)

Are there any restrictions as far as what defense or offense I can run?

The main goal of the tournament is to help the kids experience real football as much as possible.  We basically follow the Indiana High School Football rules, unless stated otherwise in our rules.  For the most part, you can run any type of defense or offense you choose to.  Just check for exceptions in our rules!

How much does the tournament cost?

Football Teams:  $275.00 (Same price it has been since the beginning!)
